Rotational moulding starts with charging the raw material into the mould. The usual material is polyethylene. After charging, the operator closes the mould and puts it in the furnace.

The process involves 4 main stages: charging the mould, heating, cooling and taking the product out of the mould. Rotational moulding is a very effective technology enabling the production of any number of containers (from 1 to several thousand) whose function and colour can be changed easily depending on the order.
CHARGING

HEATING
The time of heating depends on the size of the product and the thickness of its walls. During the process, the mould revolves on an arm on 2 perpendicular axes. Once the molten material is deposited on the wall of the mould, the process of cooling is triggered.
COOLING
The time of cooling also depends on the size of the produced element and the thickness of its walls. Cooling is done with air and water vapour.
REPEATING THE PROCESS
When the cooling phase is over, the product is ready to be taken out and processed. The operator prepares the mould and charges it again. The cycle is repeated. At this stage, both the colour of the raw material and the product itself may be changed (exchange of die)
